A Board Game the Size of Denver

We turned Denver into a gigantic, city-sized board. We’re calling it the Explorer’s Map.

We love games and challenges that show how possible and joyful it is for anyone to navigate to any destination in Denver on a bike.

We all enjoy time in the mountains, but they’re far away and you have to drive to get there. Meanwhile, bike adventures all over the City are right outside your door. New shops, restaurants, parks, and coffee shops beckon.

That’s why we’re doing the Scavenger Hunt with City Cast Denver and why the Bike Streets App includes a Weekly Challenge and Surprise Adventure, our version of Wheel of Fortune.

Explorer’s Map is a giant, Denver-sized board game built into the Bike Streets App that spans from Lakewood to Aurora and from Commerce City to Greenwood Village.

It’s inspired by classic games like Age of Empires where the places you’ve been are fully visible and the places you haven’t explored yet are shrouded in fog.

Every time you go somewhere new using the app, you turn over a new hexagonal tile and your Explored Percentage goes up. Urban adventure awaits on each of the 470 tiles.

Explorer’s Map invites you to check out new places in our city with the confidence of comfortable bike routes wherever you go. The city is yours to explore.
